I would wake up with the sound of an annoying alarm clock with the bell on top ringing. After I take a shower, I would put on spandex leggings, a lace crop top, and a jean jacket with jelly shoes. It would take me hours to crimp my hair, so I would be the best looking girl in school. On the bus ride, my friends and I would talk and use words like awesome, grody, fresh, gnarly, and phat. During school, we all pass around the Rubik's cube instead of listening to our teachers. Everyone starts to get frustrated since the Rubik's cube is so difficult to finish. After school, we would have a sleep over and watch Say Anything. We all decided to listen to Madonna and sing along until three in the morning.

Skunk Ape
I thought this tutorial was helpful. It refresh my memory on how to use online databases, journals, and a few other things I learned in Composition last semester. I also learned some new information about the library resources and the many abilities of the databases. I liked doing the matching type game with the cards. I thought it was a lot more fun than the quizzes. Having to match the parts of the citation was fun and very challenging since we all just started to master the MLA format. I felt that some of the information was repetitive, especially in the videos. I enjoyed a couple of the videos, but some were very dull and made me lose interest at some points. This tutorial was a lot better than I expected it to be. I figured it would be a super boring presentation, like a PowerPoint, but it had some fun activities. I would not really change anything about this tutorial expect make some of the videos more entertaining, if at all possible. I would also try to make the whole thing less repetitive.

The Fourth Kind
http//www.youtube.com/watch?v=vVRHOhLP-aA
The movie the Fourth Kind is based on actual case studies. The Fourth Kind is supposed to be a really scary movie. It shows clips of the people being interviewed for their case studies while being asked about a white owl that is following them. The people in these clips begin to freak out and do all kinds of weird, unexplainable things while being asked questions. This leads Dr. Abigail Tyler to believe the owl may be some kind of extraterrestrial being. The music and screaming in the background of the trailer gives it a scary feel. The clips keep you guessing and wanting to know what happened to these people. The clips also make you wonder what is really going on in Nome, Alaska.

Where the Wild Things Are
Where the Wild Things Are was most people's favorite children's book. Well now it is made into a movie. Many people were very excited to hear that this book was being made into a movie. The movie is about Max, a boy who is mean to his mother. Him and his mother get into an argument and Max runs away to this dream world. He learns many lessons about life, love, anger, having fun, and many others from the monsters, also known as wild things, that live in the dream world. This is a really great movie even if you did not read the book. It can make you laugh and cry. The wild things have really great costumes and the sets are very realistic. This movie is definitely a must see.

Less Privacy is Good for Us (and You)
Etzioni talks about how he thinks privacy issues and how they are written into the amendments. Etzioni believes that the amendments should be changed. Etzioni thinks that the first amendment does not explain privacy the way it should and the fourth amendment explains privacy better. He also believes that privacy should be incorporated into the fourth amendment and taken out of the first. Etzioni always believes that less privacy is better in a sense.
I believe that privacy is a privilege not a given right. If someone does something that makes the government or other law enforcement bodies not trust them then it is the right of that institution to take away their privacy. If someone decides to call in threats to people or sell drugs illegally the government is going to tap into their phone lines and other things to try to stop them. All criminal and police records are public records and they should be that way, so people know what crimes the people around them have commented. If a person has done nothing wrong, I believe they have an absolute right to privacy unless something suspicious is going on.

Untold Stories
Immokalee is a community that was made up of mostly farmers and Indians. I feel that Immokalee represents both the new and old American Dream. It represents the new American, because many different types of people live in the area not just white Americans. Immokalee definitely represents the old American Dream more than the new American Dream, since there are many families that made their homes there and use the land as a resource. A lot of families have farms to support themselves. They try to live a simple life there.
Immokalee is different from Fort Myers and Estero since it is mostly farmland. There are not that many rural communities in Fort Myers and Estero, but there seems to be a lot in Immokalee. There are also many Indian reservation in Immokalee.
Farming and gambling are going to drive Immokalee's future. Farming will make the individuals in the community prosper. The Seminole Indian Casino is also in Immokalee, which will bring a lot of money into the community. I do not think that Immokalee is going to change very much in ten years, since it has not changed very much at all. There is still a lot of farmland and the city is not developed all that much.

Who and What Is American?
In this essay, Luis Lapham discusses the difference the modern day American and the true definition of an American. In the beginning, he talks about how modern day Americans divide themselves by race, class, gender, and religion. The media forces opinions onto people by using these different groups as targets. This grouping leads to segregation and internal conflict in the country. He feels that the true definition of an America is person that is a part of a unified group of citizens that are in this this country to prosper. If America does not pull together again, by rebuilding the cities and revising laws, we will become a powerless country.
I strongly agree with Lapham’s essay. People in America have become more and more segregated by gender, race, class, and especially religion. The media will often times negatively portray a certain race, class, gender, or religion. America should try to reunite to help the people get through the recession.
